We offer:

• Scrap metal collection
• Recycling of permitted metal waste
• General metal clearances
• Skip hire (where applicable)

Services are subject to availability and access at the collection location.

• Collection times provided are estimated, not guaranteed
• Customers must ensure safe and reasonable access to the scrap
• Scrap must be clearly identifiable and ready for collection
• We reserve the right to refuse collection if items differ significantly from what was described

Same day or urgent collections are subject to availability.

We only collect materials that comply with our licence and UK regulations.

We cannot accept

• Hazardous waste
• Gas-filled appliances (unless agreed in advance)
• Chemicals, oils, or asbestos-containing materials
• Any items prohibited by law

If prohibited items are present at the collection site, the collection may be refused or additional disposal charges may apply.

• Scrap metal prices vary daily based on market conditions
• Prices quoted are indicative and may change upon inspection
• Final prices are confirmed at the time of collection

Payment Method

In accordance with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 

• Cash payments are not permitted
• Payments are made by bank transfer only

Payments are typically processed after collection and verification.

We may request valid identification when purchasing scrap metal.
This is a legal requirement and helps ensure full compliance with UK regulations.

Failure to provide suitable identification may result in refusal of payment or service.

• Many scrap metal collections are offered free of charge
• Some items may incur disposal or handling fees, including but not limited to:
   
  • Gas filled appliances
  • Mixed or contaminated waste
  • Non metal items

Any applicable charges will be explained before collection wherever possible.

Customers are responsible for

• Ensuring scrap is lawfully owned
• Providing accurate descriptions of materials
• Ensuring items are safe to collect
• Removing personal belongings from items

Scrap Metal Man accepts no liability for items left unintentionally within scrap.

• We request reasonable notice for cancellations
• Missed collections caused by lack of access, incorrect information, or prohibited items may result in a wasted journey charge

Both the customer and Scrap Metal Man share a legal duty of care under UK waste regulations.

By using our services, you confirm that

• You are authorised to dispose of the waste
• You are transferring it to a licensed waste carrier

Scrap Metal Man will not be held liable for

• Delays caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our control
• Loss or damage resulting from incorrect customer information
• 
  
• Pre existing damage to property or items

Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law 

Insurance

We hold appropriate insurance for our operations, including public liability and waste transportation cover.

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most recent version will always be available on our website

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
